Web Tips and SMS Text Tips: Both systems work in the same way. You initiate your tip (by text or by Web Tip). That tip is then encrypted and secured before being routed to a cloaking server that eliminates any personally identifiable information (IP address, cell phone number, etc.). From there your tip is then forwarded to a secure server where the information is formatted and assigned a unique ID number.
